#CoolCapSelfie day raises £3,000 for Warwick Cancer Research Centres

Warwick’s first ever ‘#CoolCapSelfie Day’ charity event hit campus on Wednesday 9 March. People were encouraged to post photos of themselves wearing cool caps on social media using the hashtag ‘#CoolCapSelfie’, along with an option to donate £2 to Warwick’s own cancer research centres. Prizes including chocolate, alcohol and money were on offer for the best selfies taken. Bucket collections and bake sales also took place on the day.

Arts students most likely to vote in SU elections

Recently received data shows that a significant proportion of the student body hasn’t taken part in the annual SU elections in previous years. Figures from several years ago showed that the turn-out of post-graduate students was fairly low. In 2012, only 8% of voters were post-graduates.
