Local Elections 2022 Results: Labour hold Coventry City Council, Tories hold Nuneaton and Bedworth

The Labour party have held on to Coventry City Council, with the Green Party gaining their first-ever councillor in Coventry.

After 18 wards voted yesterday with a turnout of just over 28%, Labour stayed put on 39 seats overall, the Conservatives lost 1 seat dropping to 14, and the Greens won the Holbrook ward to get their first seat.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives held Nuneaton and Bedworth Council, growing their tally to 27 wards. Labour lost 2 seats compared to 2021 dropping to 5 councillors overall, and the Greens gained one seat leading to a total of 2 seats.
