Students’ Union wins green award

The Students’ Union was awarded Silver Standard in the Sound Environmental Impact Awards on 7 April.

This is the first time the SU has qualified for this award, which is an accreditation scheme that aims to inspire students’ unions to be greener. Seventy-nine unions entered in the third year of this programme.

Founder and judge Anna Heywood said of Warwick SU, “[they] have surpassed themselves… I feel really proud of how far they’ve come”

SU President Stuart Thomson highlighted the hard work the Union has put in this year and said the environment “this must continue to be a priority for our Union in future years.”
