WSAF changes name to SPLAT Fest

Warwick Students’ Arts Festival has undergone a re-brand and will now be known as SPLAT Fest (Student Performance Literature Arts and Theatre Festival).

The festival is entering its sixth year, following its inception in 2004. It is the largest student-run Arts Festival in Europe, taking place at the end of Term Three from Sunday 21st to Thursday 25th of June.

Festival Co-ordinators Letitia Graham and Rowan Rutter said, “Essentially, the re-brand is to make the festival more inclusive and accessible and to highlight areas of festival interest e.g. Student Performance, Literature, Art and Theatre (SPLAT).”

In previous year, the Piazza and the Union have played host to most of the events, but this year a circus-style tent will be used to accommodate the festival during the Union Rebuild.

The festival aims to showcase and celebrate the various forms of student art. Last year over eighty events took place across campus.
