Helena Moretti

I am Helena Moretti, a third year physics student here at Warwick, and one of the Deputy Editors of The Boar. My job falls under the 'website' category, so I am responsible for making sure that the website is the best it can be, and that our hard-working writers and editors work is showcased well! I'm part of the team that edits the whole paper prior to publication, making sure that the articles look great, that they're laid out well, and that all the content is stuff that our readers want to see! Our weekly editorial board meetings mean that we can always bring feedback to section editors, so if there's something you'd like to see more of, feel free to get in touch.

I used to be the Science & Technology editor, and I still maintain a great passion for science communication. I believe that it is incredibly important for the general public to have the tools to understand some of the phenomenal scientific breakthroughs that happen, and when I write science articles, I try my best to make complicated ideas accessible to everyone, and explain the 'so what?' of things rather than just the 'how'. I hope that I have opened up science to a few more people by writing here at the Boar! If even one person has learned something about physics, or climate change, or medicine, I'll be pleased.

I absolutely love working for The Boar (I'm verging on a bit obsessive) but I'm also involved in plenty of other things - I'm a member of the RaW news team, I'm an avid blogger, and, as you've probably noticed, a bit of a mad scientist.
