Warwick rises into UK top five in Daily Mail University Guide 2027

The University of Warwick has risen to 5th place in the Daily Mail’s 2027 University Guide.

The 2027 Daily Mail University Guide has included scores for 128 institutions, ranking them based on subjects, graduate jobs, student life, and future earnings.

Warwick rose by one place from last year’s rankings, where it ranked 6th.

The University demonstrated its strength in the Mail’s rankings of Graduate Salaries, where it ranked 4th at £35000, First Year Completion, where it ranked 6th at 97.6%, and High Skilled Jobs, where it ranked 7th at 83.6%.

Six subjects that Warwick offers were ranked 1st in the UK, those being French, German, Iberian Studies, Marketing, Philosophy, and Production and Manufacturing Engineering.

Vice-Chancellor and President of Warwick University, Professor Stuart Croft, stated: “On a day when thousands of students and families are thinking carefully about their next steps, it is a real source of pride to see Warwick recognised among the country’s top five universities.”

He added: “This is not simply about a league table position; it reflects the strength of our academic community, the support we give to our students, and the opportunities a Warwick education opens up.”

Professor Michael Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) and Institutional Lead for Rankings, also welcomed the news, stating: “These results are another strong indication of Warwick’s continuing progress and growing reputation. They reflect the excellence, ambition and commitment that can be found across every part of our University community.”

He continued: “To see six subjects ranked first in the UK, alongside our position in the national top five, speaks to the breadth and depth of Warwick’s excellence. Rankings matter because they help prospective students, academic partners and employers understand the quality and impact of an institution.”

In the Guide, the Daily Mail noted that Warwick’s graduates are the fourth-most in demand with top recruiters, and highlighted the university’s degree apprenticeships offering, with close to 1,400 students currently following ten programmes.
