Millennium Balti is in the final of the British Takeaway Awards

Local Leamington curry house, Millennnium Balti, has made it to the final of the British Takeaway Awards.

Millennium Balti is up against finalists from 2015, Café Balti and Lime Pickle from Sheldon and Solihull respectively.

The curry house prepare all their dishes from scratch on a daily basis and offer unusual flavours in their dishes.

The awards are run in association with Just Eat to celebrate the diverse range of cuisines available. They also aim to reward the contribution takeaway owners make to both their local communities and the British economy.

A total of 110,000 members of the public voted in the British Takeaway Awards. The winner will be selected through a mark attained on a mystery shopping experience. Alongside this, takeaways have been asked to provide a statement on why they deserve to win.

To have made the top five takeaways in the West Midlands is a brilliant achievement.

A panel will review these and select the winner with a total of 16 awards to be presented.

Millennium Balti is a family run restaurant as all 16 members of staff are family members. The restaurant are also sponsors of both the Warwick cricket team and Warwick Medics RFC.

Owner Mohammed Abdul Ahad commented: “To have made the top five takeaways in the West Midlands is a brilliant achievement.

“We genuinely care about our customers, we want to provide the best food possible and service. We do everything with love, that’s our secret ingredient.”
