Warwick Business School to host Radio 4’s Any Questions

It has been announced that Jonathan Dimbelby will host BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions, live from Warwick Business School (WBS), on Friday September 16.

Any Questions, which is broadcast live on Friday evenings, travels to different venues in the UK, and has chosen the University of Warwick’s biggest department – WBS – for next Friday’s show.

Warwick Business School’s Dean, Andy Lockett, said: “This will be a fantastic night and it is a real privilege for the School to host such a popular show with a long history of influencing public debate.”

The popular show gives the public the chance to challenge the panel, and there could not be a better time for this debate to reach a student platform, with Brexit and the US Presidential Election likely to be discussed.

Second-year WBS student Alex Balderstone added: “With businesses and the government alike still coming to terms post-Brexit, this event will be a fantastic opportunity for WBS to host such an iconic forum of debate after so much has happened over the summer period.”

The audience are invited to submit questions on the day of broadcast, and the producer will then chose 10 to pose to the panel during the show.

Two of the confirmed guest panellists for the show’s visit to WBS are Angela Eagle MP, and Paul Mason, Former Channel 4 News Economics Editor.

Tickets for the event, which are free, can be obtained from the Warwick Business School reception between 9am and 5pm, weekdays. Members of the local community are invited to come and participate in the recording of the programme.

Any Questions will be live after the BBC Radio 4 news at 8pm.

The University has been contacted for comment about the event, and this article will be updated with their reply.
