Why you should join Women’s Football

UWWFC ensure their members truly make the most of the university experience: the club fits socials, volunteering and a lot of football into their packed schedule. Charlotte Joo tells us more…

We welcome all abilities

Whether you’ve played for years or have never kicked a ball, everybody is welcome. We have two competitive sides that play weekly in the university league and a futsal squad.  Our teams aren’t fixed, so there’s always an opportunity to play. Equally if you’re looking to play casually, come along!

Socials

From tours across the country to club meals out to fancy dress socials each week before Warwick’s signature club night, Pop, we’ve got lots of opportunities to get involved socially with the club.  These are fantastic fun and help you get to know the rest of the team a bit better.

Volunteering

Women’s Football run a Coaching in Schools programme which offers the chance to teach football to primary school children. This year our volunteers featured on the BBC and helped the club to win the Volunteers Award at the university’s Sports Ball. A great opportunity to give back to the community.

Helping you settle in at uni

Joining a sports society is a great way to make new friends and enjoy time away from your studies!  Women’s Football will arrange plenty of events across your first few weeks at uni and we’ll pair you up with a club ‘sister’ who can offer advice on life at Warwick.

‘Highlight of my University experience’

Many of our members have said being part of the Club has been the highlight of their University experience. It is honestly so much fun and you’ll make friends and memories to last a lifetime. Please come along and give it a try!
