The Best Cross-University Competition Warwick Martial Arts Can Offer

On Saturday 23rd January Warwick University Judo Club will be hosting our biggest and best competition of the year…right here on Campus! This annual competition draws in fellow University students and Judo clubs from all over England and is certainly not something to be missed.

The event is sure to capture your interest when you see top performers from across the country come down to Warwick and battle it out for the top spot.

The competition will take place across the whole day in the main hall of the Sports Centre. Competitors will include students and graduates of mixed abilities, ranging from Black Belts down to people who only started practicing last term. Rest assured, the University of Warwick can boast a great team. If you have an interest in martial arts or even if you have never done sport in your life, the event is sure to capture your interest when you see top performers from across the country come down to Warwick and battle it out for the top spot.

‘There’s nothing like the atmosphere in a dojo before a great competition’, says Club President Xiang Peng Foo. ‘I’ve competed in Warwick Comp several times now, and the quality of the judo on display as well as the support from the audience never fails to amaze me.’

The event will be followed by a massive social in Kasbah, which all the competitors and spectators are invited to. So even if you didn’t compete on the mat, there is still a great opportunity to represent your University by showing up to the after party and kicking ass in the games that will follow.
