Words of advice for incoming freshers
It is of high importance that you come to sports fair and that you find UWWFC’s stand. We will have jelly beans , glitter, friendly existent members and chocolate. What a combination.
Targets for next season
As always, the target it for the firsts, seconds and the futsal team to gain promotion. Failing that, as long as the socials are on point and everyone in the club has a great year, then we are on to a winner!
Training times and locations
We have two training sessions a week and tend to train regardless of the weather!
– Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm.
– Thursday from 5:30-7pm.
Both sessions are on Tarkett pitches by Westwood games hall.

Teams and Competitions
Number of teams
We have two competitive teams, a development squad for beginners and a futsal team. In term three we also have ‘Friday fun matches’ where any one of any standard can come along and play against other sports teams on campus. Always so much fun!

Social
Biggest club social
Our best social event is initiations. This is where all the freshers are welcomed into our club through hilarious games and tasks in and around campus. Then it is off to’ Pop!’ to dance the night away. Although, obviously every social event is incredible at UWWFC!!!

Charity
This year some of our members decided to train and run a half marathon for a local charity called ‘Youngminds’. We raised loads of money and our very own first team captain (Molly Chapman) ran it in under 1 hour 48 minutes!
We also have loads of other charity events throughout the year, some of the best are: our pub quizzes, volunteering as coaches in schools around Leamington and the charity rugby tournament in third term – in the last two years we have only been defeated by Warwick’s women’s rugby team!
