Warwick accommodation in UK top ten

Warwick has been ranked 10th in the UK for its on-campus accommodation in student review website WhatUni’s Student Choice Awards, released on Thursday 23 April .

The site compiled 20,000 student reviews to shortlist 39 UK universities. They were then ranked in areas including accommodation, job prospects, societies, lecturers and facilities.

Warwick rose nine places and into the top ten this year for accommodation, behind the Universities of East Anglia, Surrey and Sunderland.

North Wales’ Bangor University took the top spot for accommodation, while the students of the Loughborough University voted theirs University of the Year with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars.

Of 700 reviews of the University of Warwick, students gave campus accommodation an average of 4.2.

The University fell significantly in areas such as international reputation, and job prospects, according to the reviews. Having placed in the top ten for both last year, Warwick now ranks 26th and 32nd in those categories.
