Nat Panda announced as new Postgraduate Officer

Nat Panda, a fourth-year PhD student in Statistics, has been elected Postgraduate Officer.

The other candidates running were Andrew Thompson and Prisca Wharton.

The key promises in his manifesto are to increase bursaries for postgraduate study, eliminate the need for exact change on buses and to ensure fair pay for postgraduates, a 24/7 library, a weekend postgraduate hub and a better deal for postgraduate housing.

The Postgraduate Officer is Chair of the Postgraduate Association and responsible for engaging with non-traditional students and liaising with the Graduate School and other University Departments on postgraduate issues.
