Non-stop row for Breast Cancer Campaign

Warwick Rowing Club will be staging a 48-hour sponsored row to raise money for charity.

Eight members of the Rowing Club will be rowing non-stop on ergometers, indoor rowing machines, to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The two-day row will take place outside Costcutter from Tuesday 25 February at 11am until Thursday 27 February at the same time.

Sophie Bell, organiser and participant of the sponsored row, told the Boar about the importance of this fundraiser.

“The Rowing Club feels this is a really worthy cause to be supporting, and that the sponsored row is a great way of doing what we do best to raise money for the charity,” said the second-year History student.

“Please come along and spare any loose change, to make the agonising hours in this freezing February worthwhile!”

The Rowing Club will have donation buckets outside Costcutter for students to donate to the cause. The Facebook event can be found here.
