FESTIVAL PREVIEW: T In The Park

**Located at the pricier end of the festival spectrum, with tickets on sale at £194 for the weekend, T in the Park might not be a student’s first choice. More so considering it’s located all the way over in Scotland.**

However, sometimes reading the fine print pays off, and it couldn’t be truer for the 2013 line-up. The headliners are **Mumford & Sons**, **The Killers** and **Rihanna**, though as enticing as that sounds, the predictability of their sets doesn’t quite justify forking out £200. But as your eyes scan further down the list, it becomes harder and harder to resist the temptation of just adding that damned ticket to your metaphorical basket.

From **Jake Bugg** to **The Lumineers**, **Alt-J** and the **Yeah Yeah Yeahs**, bands and acts that have gradually been building buzz and playing to sell-out crowds take to the stage, whilst a lot of up-and-coming and – quite frankly – ridiculously exciting acts are also scheduled to perform. It seems pointless to list them… **Disclosure**, **Miles Kane**, **Bastille**, **Tom Odell**, **Villagers**, **Everything Everything**, **Haim, **Chvrches**, **Palma Violets**, **Peace**… but that’s the only way to construe how much talent this festival has got on board.

From house, to pop, to indie rock, to mainstream DJs such as **Calvin Harris** and **David Guetta**, this festival has got most musical tastes covered. And if your iTunes library is as eclectic as mine you’ll probably find yourself running between tents and stages to try and catch them all. (Not that this is anything like Pokémon.)

Tickets are already selling out at an unprecedented pace and when you consider that their line-up is basically a list of the hottest bands of 2012 and the ones to watch out for in 2013, it’s hardly surprising. So, if you head to one festival this year, I suggest you make it **T in the Park**. Roll in a day trip to Edinburgh, a road-trip up there… just bring a tent and your wellies, because they’ve got the music covered.
