Learning Grid Leamington to open on Monday

The much-anticipated Learning Grid Leamington will open on Monday, the Boar has learnt.

Spokesperson for the University Peter Dunn confirmed the learning space will open at midday on November 5.

It was confirmed over the summer that the new learning space will be situated in the Leamington Town Hall on The Parade.

The Grid will accommodate 50 people with 18 fixed PC spaces. a bookable group study room. Ten of the study spaces and eight of the computer spaces are also bookable.

Opening hours will be 12.00-22.00 on weekdays and 09.00-17.00 at weekends during term time and the Easter vacation.

The learning space will be available to Warwick students only; access will be controlled by University cards and the space will be run by library staff.

“The Leamington Grid will provide our students with the opportunity to study or undertake group work without the need to travel to campus and free from the distractions of studying at home,” said Mr Dunn in September.
