University Challenge success

**Warwick’s team for this year’s University Challenge contest on BBC Two are through to the next round of the competition.**

The team consisted of Sean Quinn, a third year Classical Civilization student, History of Medicine student Sarah Jane Bodell, Maths student Andrew Shaw and Chemistry student James Wheatley.

In the last of the first-round matches, Warwick won by 175 points to 100 against Aberdeen University, securing their place in round two.

Lincoln College, Oxford, King’s College, Cambridge, Homerton College, Cambridge and Lancaster University, the highest scoring losing teams, will now continue to the play-offs for a place in the second round.
