Students asked for opinions on Leamington Learning Space

An online survey is asking Warwick students for their opinions on the proposed Learning Space in Leamington Spa.

The anonymous survey is available to complete through the Warwick University Library homepage.
The survey asks students when they would most likely use the space and for what purposes, either quiet, individual study or group work. Students are also asked if they would want desktop computers.

Similar to the learning grid, the learning space will be available to Warwick students only.

The learning space was due to open at the beginning of this term but was subsequently put back to October due to safety concerns over the proposed location.
Student Council voted last month to mandate sabbatical officers to lobby to University to consider the threatened community centre Bath Place as a possible location for the learning space.

“Having an off-campus study space would be a great opportunity to improve lives of students”, said President of the Students’ Union Leo Boe. “It would relieve congestion in the library and reduce reliance on buses.”

Mathematics and Economics student Dan Churchman said: “Having a place in Leam to spread everyone else would have helped a lot.”
