Film news: Willow Smith becomes an orphan and Wikileaks biopic announced

After what feels like forever, rumour-mill managers everywhere can relaz for a bit, as Christopher Nolan has finally put some names to _The Dark Knight Rises_. Anne Hathaway will play in the third Batman instalment as Selina Kyle (better known as Catwoman), whilst Tom Hardy will take on the steroid-addling adversary, Bane.

In other news, the inevitable has happened. We could have called it – A biopic of Wikileaks front man Julian Assange is in the pipeline, with film rights to Andrew Fowler’s up-coming biography _The Most Dangerous Man in the World _already scooped.

Kevin Smith’s controversial _Red State_ saw its Sundance Festival debut this week amidst throngs of angry church protesters. The film rights were auctioned afterwards and won by… Kevin Smith, would you believe, for a mere $20 in a statement against the investor-dominated movie industry.

Will Smith has been busily assembling an _Annie_ remake in order that daughter Willow may star in the title role. The show is to feature heavily on the show-tunes, given Willow’s recent musical ventures, and Will’s never-ceasing ambitions to ensure his aspiring sprogs get the W. Bush treatment in the film industry.

Lastly, Anthony Hopkins is in talks to portray Winston Churchill with production company Montecito. The company are also attempting to lure in _Anvil! The Story of Anvil_ director Sacha Gervasi to direct. As yet, nothing has been confirmed, but this is definitely one to watch out for.
