New halls to be built near Rootes

505 student bedrooms arranged in four blocks will be built across a site between Rootes Residences and Tocil Ponds. Construction is due to start on Monday 15 February and is due for completion in the summer of 2011.

The arrangements for the building site include a reduction in the number of parking spaces in Car Park 2 (which will be used as access for contractors), the cordoning of the bottom of Health Centre Road, beyond Car Park 6, and footpath diversions in the immediate area.
