Letters: Wasting Tuition Fees

Dear Sir,

I would like to draw some attention to Warwick University’s inexcusable ability to waste our tuition money on frivolous projects, namely the landscaping work taking place next to the Arts Centre, and the acquisition of brand new vans with fancy pseudo-police markings for the Security staff. At a time such as this, when academics are being cut and funding for universities is about to take a punch to the face, are projects such as these really necessary? Shouldn’t the Uni be saving money rather spending it digging a hole and painting some cars?
