SU President gets swine flu
Swine flu has indiscriminately affected individuals across the globe, and over the summer reached the pinnacle of the Warwick Students’ Union, when newly elected SU President Andrew Bradley contracted the virus.
With his tenure as President just beginning, Bradley came down with flu-like symptoms and took four days off to recover from the virus.
Bradley downplayed the severity of the illness, saying, “It was alright… It wasn’t as horrible as malaria.”
However, he remains unconvinced it was definitely swine flu and not a milder strain. He contracted the virus at a point where a number of students on campus came down with the symptoms. He said, “It was at the very beginning of summer, right after graduation. I was on campus so I rang up the hotline, was diagnosed and took Tamiflu.”
