The new term has marked the completion of the rebuild of the Students’ Union building
The rebuild of the Students’ Union that began in May 2008 is now, after unforeseen delays, set to be completed by the start of Term Two.
The new openings in the Union Rebuild have once again been overshadowed by delays and disappointment.
Despite previous guarantees from the Students’ Union, Term 3 started without the new Union building ready. The Copper Rooms and The Dirty Duck will not be ready for the start of the summer term as promised.
As the first stage of Warwick’s £11 million Union rebuild draws to a close, with two significant openings announced for Term Three, anticipation is growing in the student population.
The second phase of the Students’ Union rebuild will begin near the end of this term, closing of Tempo from week ten and most of the Piazza from week eight. The bus stops and taxi rank will be relocated.

New pictures have been released of the Terrace Bar, “which show off the magnificent views and stunning copper roof which will be the integral features of this brand new space”.
