The Boar Elections 2014/15

Would you like to be on the Boar’s Editorial and Business Executive Team for 2014/15?

We are hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in weeks nine and ten and all positions are open.

You need to have been a member for three weeks before the end of the AGM (Wednesday 12th March) so you have until Wednesday 19th February to become a member of the Boar society if you would like to run or vote in our elections. You can join here: http://warwicksu.com/societies/warwickboar.

At the AGM you will be expected to make a short two minute speech about why you would be suitable for the role and then each candidate will be asked a maximum of three questions (more at the discretion of the Elections Coordinator). Voting will take place by a first-past-the-post single ballot and results will be announced throughout the meeting(s).

If you are interested in running for any position, then please make sure you have been a member since before Wednesday 19th February and then email: elections@theboar.org. The deadline for this is one week before the first AGM, so Wednesday 26th February. Any member can attend, vote and/or run so long as they meet the above requirement.

You can run for three positions across both AGMs, so please think carefully about what you would like to run for and when emailing, please rank your choices in order. Please note that positions in the first AGM take precedent over those in the second AGM.

Week nine: Wednesday 5th March – 4:00pm-7:00pm – Room L5

Positions: Editor, Deputy Editors (Communications, Production, Website), Chief Sub-editor, Webmaster, Photography Editor, Director of Business (Treasurer), Head of Sales, Head of Marketing and Publicity, Head of Logistics and Distribution, News Editor, Comment Editor.

Week ten: Wednesday 12th March – 2:00pm-5:00pm – Room MS.02

Positions: Features Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Money Editor, Sports Editor, Arts Editor, Books Editor, Film Editor, Games Editor, Music Editor, Science & Tech Editor, Travel Editor, TV Editor.
