Dearest gentle reader… it’s the season of podcasts

The world of Bridgerton, as we know it, has finally caught up to this season’s latest trends. Bridgerton: The Official Podcast now has it’s first episode streaming on UK podcast sites.

If you’re already feeling lost after finishing the first part of season 4 in record time, then this is the perfect companion podcast for you. It will be a six-episode show, with episodes releasing weekly. The last three episodes will air alongside the next half of the show’s fourth season.

With a behind-the-scenes look at all the scandalous drama of the ton, the podcast would be sure to catch the keen eye of our beloved wallflower, Penelope Bridgerton or should I say Lady Whistledown.

With a behind-the-scenes look at all the scandalous drama of the ton, the podcast would be sure to catch the keen eye of our beloved wallflower, Penelope Bridgerton or should I say Lady Whistledown. Each episode features a rotating guest list of your favourite actors and characters, with a spotlight on this season’s beloved leads Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek).

If you, like me, can’t get enough of their love story and want to shake Benedict so hard he comes to his senses and can actually use his eyes to figure out his love triangle is actually a straight line leading him straight to Sophie – then fill your time by listening to the podcast dissect the central love story and evolving character arcs of all your beloved favourites.

The official titles are as follows: The Lady in Silver, Growing Up Bridgerton and Mothers of Mayfair but the final three episodes and their guests are a secret even Lady Whistledown hasn’t caught hold of yet.

Hammond is sure to capture the heart and soul of the ton. She first caught societies eye in 2002, with her debut as a contestant on Big Brother. Now she’s the diamond of the UK’s TV world.

If you’re interested in TV, film or production the podcast also welcomes members of the creative team who brought the show to life, such as showrunner Jess Brownell in episode one, which makes for an interesting listen.

Now, if you’re not sold already by the extra goings on in Mayfair, you’ll surely be sold by the host, Alison Hammond. A serious Bridgerton fan, loved TV personality, presenter and actor, Hammond is sure to capture the heart and soul of the ton. She first caught societies eye in 2002, with her debut as a contestant on Big Brother. Now she’s the diamond of the UK’s TV world, becoming a familiar face on This Morning and a co-host of The Great British Bake Off. Who better to host Shondaland’s latest endeavour?

The question is, what are you hoping the podcast will let slip about the ton? And what do you think part two has in store for us?
