Harry Kane Reaches 400 Career Club Goals

In the latest Der Klassiker, Bayern Munich’s star striker, Harry Kane, reached a stellar landmark as he continued his blistering start to the season, scoring the opener in a 2-1 victory against rivals, Borussia Dortmund. Winger Michael Olise doubled the lead in the 78th minute and although Julian Brandt got one back for the Yellow Wall, the Bavarians were able to see through and gain the three points to retain their spot at the top of the table.

This goal took Kane’s total tally to 19 goals in 11 appearances, marking the English Talisman’s 400th club goal, a year and a half after he achieved this remarkable feat for club and country in April 2024.

The goal against Dortmund was his 12th in the Bundesliga

He continued his fine form into last week’s Champions League fixture vs Club Brugge where he scored the second in a 4-0 thrashing.

His staggering club career in numbers reads:
– Tottenham Hotspurs- 280 Goals, 63 Assists in 435 Appearances
– Bayern Munich- 105 Goals, 29 Assists in 108 Appearances
– Millwall- 9 Goals, 5 Assists in 27 Appearances
– Leyton Orient- 5 Goals in 18 Appearances
– Leicester City- 2 Goals in 15 Appearances

The goal against Dortmund was also his 12th in the Bundesliga, 7 more than 2nd place and team-mate Luis Diaz, as he looks set to win the golden boot for the third consecutive season in a row. This exemplifies his strong performances in the league following the end of his trophy doubt as Bayern Munich emerged as Champions of the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season.

The Englishman has found the back of the net 10 matches in a row, notching up 20 goals in 12 games

This also means that he is even more productive than his first year at the club where he set a goal record for any debutants in the league.

Kane has been equally good in the Champions League, the goal against Club Brugge marking 5 goals in 3 games to reach an average of 2.03 goals/game. This also meant that the Englishman has found the back of the net 10 matches in a row, notching up 20 goals in 12 games, becoming the fastest to reach that number in a season, breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s of scoring 20 goals in 13 games in 2014/15.

With Bayern boasting a 100% winning record across all competitions, it is no doubt that Harry Kane has been a pivotal part of Vincent Kompany’s squad as they set their sights on extending their trophy cabinet beyond just the league. The records also warrant asking the question of whether the Ballon d’Or is within reach.

(Kane) might just become the fifth Englishman to win the prestigious Golden Ball

Despite his previous exploits, England’s record goal-scorer has never finished above 10th in the prestigious ranking, coming only 13th in the 2025 edition even as he was in the form of his life.

When asked about his scoring run and the prospects of winning Europe’s biggest club competition and the 2026 World Cup making him the front-runner, here’s what the former Tottenham striker, said “I would love to win it for sure, it would be an accumulation of doing something great individually and as a team. It would be almost the perfect season.”

Although too early to say, if Kane does continue this fine run of form, it will not be too farfetched to claim that he might just become the fifth Englishman to win the prestigious Golden Ball.
