Students who graduated during pandemic return for winter graduation ceremonies

Warwick university students who graduated in January of 2022 were invited back to campus for a winter graduation ceremony this January.

On Monday 23 January, graduates from the Faculty of Arts and Science, Engineering, and Medicine attended the 11 am ceremony.

Due to the Covid pandemic, 2021 graduates were not able to have a graduation ceremony and were deferred to the 2023 ceremonies.

Current 2023 graduates from computer science, mathematics, school of engineering, law, philosophy, politics, and more had their graduation ceremony on 16 January.  

Another ceremony took place on January 18 which included WMG graduates, followed by chemistry, physics, and the school of life sciences and Warwick medical school.

January 2022 graduates have also been included among the attendees last week.

The University made a statement on its website: “We are delighted that you are now a part of our 270,000-strong worldwide alumni community”

Future Summer graduation dates remain undecided and subject to change, however, the University has stated that the week commencing July 17 will be the official graduation week for summer graduates.

Students who were not able to graduate can contact the University to receive their degree by delivery.
