BREAKING: Piazza food stall catches fire

A food stall on the Piazza caught fire during a Family Day at the University of Warwick today at around 10am.

A queue of around 50 people were standing next to the stall before it broke into flames.

In photos provided to The Boar, a cloud of grey smoke is seen arising from the Piazza and into the sky.

The fire brigade is arriving on scene as it appears that the fire broke out next to gas canisters.

People around the area have been vacated nearby. It is believed that no one was hurt.

UPDATE (11:02AM): A witness reports seeing individuals including the stall owners being treated for burns at the scene.

UPDATE (15/09/19 14:05pm): The University of Warwick commented to The Boar: “Some equipment belonging to one of the external food vendors caught fire.

“We thank the Fire and Ambulance services who both attended promptly and who were very quickly in control of the situation.”
