Man hospitalised following alleged assault in Kelsey’s in Leamington Spa

A man has been hospitalised after he was allegedly assaulted in Kelsey’s in Leamington Spa on Sunday 23 June at 1:15am.

The man in his 30s suffered “a serious injury to his face” in the High Street bar in the early hours and was sent to the hospital to be treated.

Ryan Coulson, a 20-year-old man from Craig Close in Leamington, was charged with wounding with intent. He appeared at Warwick Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Warwickshire Police declined to provide information on the victim’s current condition and the outcome of the trial.
