University library to be closed for rest of the day
The Library at the University of Warwick will remain closed for the rest of the day. The library was evacuated earlier this afternoon after the fire alarm went off, with the evacuation overseen by fire wardens.
The closure was caused by a water leak in the main library building, with the heating and electrical systems having to be examined before students are safely able to reenter.
News update: The Library will be closed for the rest of the day, but we are allowing access for people to collect their belongings. There is a wait however, so do please be patient.

Students who had left belongings in the building were later able to retrieve them, being escorted through the library by security.
Both the main library building and the annex will remain closed for the rest of the day.
The University has confirmed that the library will reopen at 8am on Friday March 2. Rootes Learning Grid will therefore be open throughout the whole night tonight.
