Why you should join Men’s Cricket
Work hard, play hard: not only are they BUCS indoor champions, but the University of Warwick Men’s Cricket Club certainly doesn’t skimp on socials. UWMCC president Henry Bexson tells us more – including how you could play the game in some of the world’s cricketing heartlands…
Cricket
UWMCC provides an opportunity for all people to play the sport, regardless of ability. Not only do we run 4 competitive BUCS teams and a ‘Friendlies’ XI in summer, but we are also BUCS indoor national champions.
Socials
UWMCC is one of the most active clubs on campus, with our weekly ‘circles,’ annual ‘Cricket Ball,’ club meals, golf days and trips to sporting events.
International tour
UWMCC has a proud touring tradition and run a 2 week international tour every year that is open to all members, previous destinations have included Barbados in 2015 and Sri Lanka in 2016, and we plan to go to South Africa in 2017
Domestic tour
In addition UWMCC run a tour within the UK every year. Previous destinations include Liverpool/Manchester in 2015 and Sheffield/Leeds in 2016.
More than just Cricket
UWMCC successfully take part in numerous intra-club competitions/events, such as the football league on a Saturday, which we won last year.
