WBS exam postponed at last minute
This morning, on 17 March 2016, hundreds of students were unable to take the Foundations of Finance exam because the Panorama room had not been set up for it.
It’s such a stupid reason that should have been avoided

The exam was due to take place at 9:00 am across three separate locations, including the Panorama room. However 5 minutes before the scheduled time, no tables or chairs had been laid out in it.
As a result, nobody was allowed to take the exam. According to reports, over 500 students were affected by the incident.
We appreciate the inconvenience and upset this will have caused for students and wish to apologise unreservedly for this.

Ricky Bedia, a third-year Maths student who had been expecting to take it today commented: “They told us 5 minutes before that the exam was cancelled, I feel like I have wasted so much time because they are underprepared.”
Nicola Jones, communications manager for the University, said: “Due to an administrative oversight there were insufficient desks to accommodate students … As sufficient additional desks could not have been provided within the time allotted for the test, the only option available that would ensure that no student was unfairly disadvantaged was to postpone the test for all students, including those who were taking the test in a separate location.”
She continued: “The Business School is working with partner departments to identify a suitable date and time for a rescheduled test as soon as possible in Term 3. Students will be notified via my.wbs and email as soon as we have any further information.”
