Freshblood – New Year Update

Freshblood have a lot of exciting things planned for Term 1!

First of all Freshblood are pairing with Codpiece Theatre on a Arts Centre performance later on in the academic year, Souvenirs, showing Wednesday 12th – Saturday 15th November at 7.45pm in the Warwick Arts Centre Studio. Auditions will be held Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th October so sign yourself up for a group audition as soon as you can! We will also be giving as many shadowing opportunities with the production team as possible, including producing, directing, dramaturgy, stage management, etc. so if you’re interested contact J.Wright.1@warwick.ac.uk to grab experience of working on a production in a professional venue!

Freshblood are also very happy to again be hosting our annual festival of new writing: FreshFest 2015 – a festival showcasing and celebrating new student writing. This shall also be the first year that FreshFest will be hosting an evening of new student film writing, so film-makers and playwrights get ready! Writing deadlines, director or producer interviews and performer audition dates shall all be announced over the next few weeks!

Freshblood are also very happy that we have a whole series of writing workshops, cabaret nights and scratch-shows all coming your way in Term 1, as well as socials to the Arts Centre’s Emerge Festival – showing the work of fledgling Warwick Theatre companies who create and write their own work.

The new Drama Collective are also planning various joint socials and production workshops across Term 1 and going into Term 2 which shall be advertised via the society facebooks and twitter.
