CARTOON: The Fall of Pistorius

Over the past year or so we have seen the once inspirational “blade runner” Oscar Pistorius, champion of the Pararlympic movement, dramatically fall from grace. After allegedly murdering his girlfriend Riva Steencamp, the world has seen one of the icons of disability sports dragged through the mud. Richard Belton shows this graphically in illustration, which shows the impact on South Africa as a nation as well as on the lowly Pistorius, whose name and reputation have been irrevocably tarnished.
