Warwick student killed after lorry collision named
The student who was hit by a lorry has been named by police as Maggie Cheung.
Ms Cheung suffered serious head injuries after the collision outside Cannon Park Tesco at 12:45pm on Tuesday 21 January and died a few hours later in hospital.
The 23-year-old postgraduate student from Hong Kong was studying for a Master’s degree in Economics.
Police are appealing for witnesses to help them in their investigation.
Sergeant Neil Higgins, from West Midlands Police’s collision investigation unit appealed for those who saw anything to come forward: “The collision happened during the university’s lunch hour and close to a local shopping centre.
“We are sure that there are people who may have witnessed what happened.”
