NAIC campus plans progress further
Plans for the new £100 million National Automotive Innovation Campus (NAIC) has taken a step further as developments plans are now confirmed.
The development of the NAIC campus has also been linked to concerns with the future of the Summer Party as the planned campus is due to take over venue of the annual Summer Party.
This project will feature 30,000 metre squared architecture incorporating hi-tech engineering labs, powertrain provision, virtual reality areas and sophisticated design studios imbibed with futuristic educational facility.
It will encourage enterprising academics and nurture advance facilities for companies to develop new technologies in the automotive sector and achieve growth in a competitive global market.
It is projected as a cost effective medium to access to centre facilities for collaborative or private work. It will even edify interests in terms of building prototypes and use specific equipment for trials and demonstration.
900 staff from academic and industry teams from WMG, Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors European Technology Centre and other partners will work on the campus.
The purpose of such an extensive project is to bring changes in research and development in the concerned industrial context of automobile. Thus, NAIC will facilitate proper examinations of models, hypothesis epistemologies, validities and reliabilities.
According to Professor Lord Bhattacharyya, WMG Chairman, NAIC will become a medium to make the automotive industry even more economically competitive. He said it was important for the UK to remain competitive in the field of automotive industry. Thus, NAIC will exhibit itself to be a world-leading automotive hub and will provide opportunities for research excellence and technology.
Dr Epple, Director of Research and Technology, Jaguar Land Rover, suggested that NAIC will bridge the gap between research, education and industry that will amplify technological advancement.
