Labrinth pulls out of Summer Party
The headline act at this year’s Summer Party, Labrinth, has pulled out of the event less than a week before the event on Sunday 23 June.
Warwick Students’ Union (SU) has announced that Katy B will be replacing the headliner at the top of the bill on the main stage.
The SU issued a statement on the website, saying that due to American record company commitments, Labrinth will no longer be playing.
The statement went on to say: “Obviously this will be disappointing for those of you hoping to see him headline the Main Stage this Sunday, unfortunately such occurrences can sometimes crop up with big-name acts.”
The rest of the bill remains unchanged, with the rest of the acts including Rudimental, Zane Lowe, King Charles and Coves, among others.
The SU has also added the Club MTV Tour to the event’s after-party.
Labrinth is the third big act to pull out of playing a Warwick SU event this year, after Wiley failed to show up and the Midnight Beast cancelled their performance in the Copper Rooms.
