Petition against bringing forward finalists’ law exams
**A decision by Warwick Law School to bring forward the exams of the four most subscribed modules on the final year of the Law course has sparked discontent among Law students.**
An [online petition](https://www.change.org/it/petizioni/warwick-law-school-reverse-the-decision-to-bring-forward-finalists-exams) aimed at Warwick Law School has been created by unhappy Law students in an attempt to have the decision reversed.
The petition surpassed 250 signatures by March 14 and continues to grow.
The petition stated that “it is not just the time shift but also the bunching of modules which have such loaded and difficult content.
“The time shifting and bunching will almost certainly be detrimental to the final grades for law students”.
A first-year Law undergraduate who wishes to remain anonymous commented: “I don’t think it’s a fair decision, considering this is a very important year for them, and the decision was made at such short notice.”
When questioned about the decision, head of Warwick Law School, Professor Alan Norrie, stated that the decision was made in order to allay the complaints made by students in previous years about the “relative intensity of exam schedules,” and that the decision would remove these concerns by allowing students to “rest and revise more effectively between exams.”
Professor Norrie added that while some students had raised concerns to the Law School over the decision, they received “a number supportive of what we have done.”
