Fire at Tuscano’s

**At approximately 6.30pm Saturday 2 March, a fire broke at popular student takeaway, Tuscano’s, in Leamington Spa.**

According to the Warwickshire Fire & Rescue service, the blaze started in the kitchen of the premises.

Two Leamington based fire engines were sent out and a third from Kenilworth later arrived to provide additional breathing apparatus.

The cause of the fire, which resulted in the closure of Bath Street, is not yet known.

Crews extinguishing the fire with the assistance of breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, a covering jet and positive pressure ventilation.

The electricity board was subsequently requested to attend, causing further delays, and the one-way road was partially cordoned off for several hours.

Traffic flowing through the road was blocked and some bus services were redirected.
