Tusk
While popular opinion seems to dictate that _Rumours_ showed a band at its creative peak, _Tusk_ demonstrates that Fleetwood Mac always had so much more to offer. Fuelled by cocaine addictions and inter-band tensions, the end product was a sprawling mess of a record in which the group disregarded expectation and satiated their innermost indulgences. All the way from the new-wave spikiness of ‘Ledge and the majesty of ‘Sara’ to the sheer bizarreness of the title-track, ‘Tusk’, this record ultimately rewards more immersive listening.
