Obama is not the saviour of the world. Let’s get this out of the way right now. A lot of people have been super high on Obama both before and after he was elected for his first term, proclaiming him the hero for America after eight years of George W. Was Obama the needed change? Certainly, but let’s try not to think about the hype when judging whether Obama deserves re-election.

To have seen Obama painted as a communist in recent weeks as the campaigning has entered the ‘serious business’ stage is somewhat laughable, as even by American standards he’s hardly been pushing leftist boundaries. The key to this election is really whether you want 4 more years of an Obama unhindered by the prospect of needing to be re-elected, or the unknown factor of the Romney/Ryan partnership that has many slightly apprehensive types wringing their hands.

Four More Years, then we’ll see what the man the American people have already trusted for four, and has far from let them down, can really do

Obama has been warned against criticising Romney as a ‘flip-flopper’, but you can see what it’s hard not to. From issues ranging from abortion to foreign policy, Romney has been quoted here as saying one thing and recorded elsewhere saying another. ‘Romnesia’ seems an apt term.

This is, however, meant to be about Obama himself, so I’ll end the negative slant. Barack Obama is of course a landmark president: the first black President in American history, something that seems hard to contemplate looking at American history. However, this novelty to me has somewhat hindered Obama, as everything he’s done has been judged through this lens of Obama being a different president to ones that have come before. A second term for Barack would allow us to see what he truly wants to implement and take further, with ideas like Obamacare, if not the ideal solution, being a vital step in the development of America. Mitt Romney – Aidan Press

Over the last four years, Obama has delivered ‘change’ to the country, but very little of this has been positive, and there is no doubt in my mind that to ensure a prosperous future, Romney must win this time round.

There is little question that Obama is a fantastic individual and orator, but his record cannot be defended. Obamacare, which looks fantastic on the surface, is expected to cost around 800,000 jobs and restrict individual freedom throughout the USA.

His actions have contributed to the national debt, increasing it by over $4 trillion dollars. The way he dealt with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill has become infamous and a perfect example of the President’s incompetence.

Romney and Ryan genuinely care about the future of the USA, they care for everyone from the big business owner to the child living in poverty

The Republican ticket leads package designed to em- power the Americans, returning them the freedoms envisaged by the Founding Fathers. They will reduce the USA’s appalling debt, passing an economy to the next generation in the best possible state.
