Teenager charged for Vialli’s stabbing
A teenager has been remanded in custody following a stabbing outside popular Leamington takeaway Vialli’s.
Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident, which took place at 2:30am on Wednesday 19 September.
It is thought a group of five people had been arguing with staff at the restaurant near the Parish Church. They then turned to a man in his thirties and, during the argument, he was stabbed in the head with an unknown instrument.
He was treated in Warwick Hospital for a five-inch gash to the top of his head.
An 18-year-old from Rugby was charged with wounding with intent and with possessing a knife, blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and has now been remanded in custody.
He is next scheduled to appear before magistrates on December 29.
