Leamington buses increase fares but improve services
Stagecoach UniRider tickets will increase by an average of 4 percent next year following a number of improvements to services.
An annual UniRider bus pass, which entitles the student to unlimited travel on Stagecoach buses in the Leamington and Warwick area, will increase from £297 to £309 for this September.
Stagecoach has said however there will be a number of improvements, including ten new buses equiped with WiFi which will run at peak times.
The current supplementary fare of £1 for pass holders after midnight will also be waivered from 1 September.
According to the University, Stagecoach will also review the timetables and routes through Kenilworth from the Autumn term.
The Travel de Courcey L1 service will also no longer operate due to low passenger numbers. The University is currently working with the company to develop new routes and services from Coventry, utilising these now inactive vehicles.
