Business School best in UK and second best in world

Warwick Business School’s distance-learning MBA programme has been judged by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) to be the best amongst other schools in the UK and second best in the world.

QS, who carry out various rankings of universities and departments, looked at a range of factors which it deemed important for comparing MBA programmes, including employability, student quality, diversity, faculty and teaching, class experience and accreditation.

Warwick’s MBA programme has also been ranked first in the UK by the Economist. The course, which has been running for over 25 years, uses state of the art technology to deliver the course to candidates from over 100 countries.

Professor Mark Taylor, Dean of WBS and Professor of International Finance, said of the result: “The current economic environment has led many people to choose the distance learning route to enhancing their career prospects, but to WBS this does not mean that they have to sacrifice quality.”

He went on to say: “We bring the same quality and creativity to our distance learning students as we deliver to our full-time and executive MBA students. Our team here are constantly working to deliver a cutting-edge learning environment.”

WBS was beaten to first place in the world by Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. The only other UK business schools in the top ten were Manchester (3rd), Imperial College (6th) and Durham (7th).
