Interview: George Whitworth, Sports Officer
**How are you feeling?**
I feel brilliant!
**How did the campaign go?**
Very very tiring, I’ve never been up that early on campus since I’ve been here. And I had no idea how we’ll I’d done at all.
**What’s been the highlight of your campaign?**
There are no highlights to the campaign. The campaign is a difficult and daunting process. The highlight of the campaign was winning.
**What motivated you to be sports officer?**
I just love doing sports, I’ve always put it ahead of my degree since I’ve been here, which I’m sure my tutor will be very pleased to hear. I just really love being involved with sports at Warwick.
**Did you think you had a chance of winning?**
Definitely, otherwise I wouldn’t have run. I thought I had a pretty good chance, obviously there was a good competition.
**What were your tactics in the campaign?**
Putting my name in as many places as possible and hoping people would remember it when they got to the voting page; that and kitchen tours and lecture shout-outs.
**What are your plans now?**
My plans right now are to have a few more drinks, and then to go to sleep for a long time, my plans over the next few months will be to pass my degree and then after that I don’t know, I’ll speak to the current sports officer and see what he thinks I should do.
