Which fictional student are you?

[dropcap]B[/dropcap]rian in Starter for Ten has high expectations about his ‘The University Experience’. Studying English Literature, he is undeniably bookish and sees Scrabble as a sport. Best described as socially awkward, he is out of place at parties, slightly pretentious and perhaps a bit too concerned about his financial situation. He is in effect an earlier version of Will from The Inbetweeners.

Brian starts university life with the best of intentions. His enthusiasm leads him to join as many societies as possible, indulging his literary side by joining the writing team of all three university magazines. His priority, though, is joining the University Challenge team to achieve his dream of appearing on the show. On the team he faces his nemesis: a beautiful drama student named Alice. As his obsession with Alice mounts, Brian starts a downwards spiral: he misses lectures, stops reading his course books and (unfortunately for all involved) begins trying to write poetry. Sound familiar?
